While still a pupil in secondary school, Rhona Togher developed an auditory therapy to alleviate tinnitus. She won high-ranked places at the annual BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition in Dublin in 2008 and 2009 for this spectacular innovation. In 2009, Rhona was also honoured with the Medical Innovation Award of the Irish Health Research Board, and the very same year she translated her idea into a business and founded the company Restored Hearing. Now as the company’s CEO, Rhona’s responsibilities reach from product development and research to brokering distribution deals and manufacturing. In parallel, she studied Physics at the University College Dublin.
