One of the UK’s most respected and versatile sports broadcasters, Kirsty Gallacher is a household name and an excellent choice as presenter at your event.
Kirsty Gallacher is one of the UK’s most respected and versatile sports broadcasters. She has enjoyed a long and successful career at Sky Sports News, anchoring their popular afternoon slot since 2011. She began her front-of-camera career at Sky in 2000 with her own series for Sky One, Kirsty’s Home Videos, which aired for four years. She also hosted their show, TV Meltdown. Other presenting credits for other channels have included Lorraine on ITV1, BBC1’s holiday series Departure Lounge and co-hosting Simply the Best for ITV. She has also hosted large-scale events such as the Laureus World Sports Awards in Lisbon, broadcast on Channel 5.
In 2005, Kirsty teamed up with Jamie Theakston to host Channel 4’s The Games, following her triumph as a contestant in the previous series, and in 2008 she continued her co-presenting with Sky One’s revamped show Gladiators alongside Ian Wright. She has also featured alongside Ant and Dec on their massively successful prime-time show Saturday Night Takeaway.
Kirsty is hugely experienced in fronting live sporting events; she has presented The All Star Cup for ITV1/ITV2 live from Celtic Manor in Wales, live feeds for Sport Relief, and in 2014 she reprised her role as co-presenter of ITV1’s hugely popular Soccer Aid alongside Dermot O’Leary, a role that she will take on once again in 2016. She also fronts Sky Sports’ coverage of major annual sporting events like the Ryder Cup, the Masters and the Olympics.
2014 saw Kirsty’s personal passion for health and fitness grow as she launched her own sports clothing range and utilised her extensive knowledge of health and well-being as the ambassador and face of Wellwoman supplements. Throughout her career, Kirsty has worked with a number of brands, including Benefit, P20, Nestle and Scholl & Persy
In 2015, took part in the hugely popular Strictly Come Dancing on BBC1 and made it to the 6th week of competition with her partner Brendan Cole.
