Brody Sweeney is the founder of the O’Brien’s Sandwich Bar chain and the Camile Thai Kitchen Group, and talks expertly on anything that has to do with business, marketing and management.
Brody is also involved in variety of projects, including politics, An Bord Bia, and the Irish business charitable foundation, Connect Ethiopia, of which he is a co-founder.
Brody Sweeney founded the O’Brien’s Sandwich Bar chain in 1988, and with the help of his management team succeeded in expanding the chain to nearly 350 outlets in 16 countries.
In 2005, Brody retired from the day to day management of the business to pursue a career in politics, and stood for the Dail in the 2007 General Election. Brody put O’Briens into examinership in 2009, restructured the business, and exited it.
Brody Sweeney is the founder of the Camile Thai Kitchen Group; a small chain of Thai focussed online delivery restaurants, in which he is still involved.
In addition, he is a non-executive director of An Bord Bia, and a co-founder of the Irish business charitable foundation, Connect Ethiopia.
He is the author of two bestselling business books Making Bread published in 2005, and Small to Tall published in 2008.
Brody runs a three day residential management development course based on his Small to Tall book.
